Ioannis is currently a PhD candidate at the Medical School of Athens, where his research centers on the development of explainable artificial intelligence models applied to electronic health record data from intensive care unit patients, with a particular focus on sepsis. He previously completed a Master’s degree in Data Science at the University of Amsterdam, where his work involved developing neural network–based surrogate models to study the immune response in burn wounds.
